Conquest - Menus and Toolbars
All available tools and functions are accessible from the top toolbars. You will notice that all modules are continuously displayed as well are the other functions and tools that apply generally.
Modules
Tools and General Functions
Therefore it is possible to go directly to Reports for Comparisons while currently in the Estimating Module or alternatively say go to Export Valuation to Excel whilst in Comparisons.
All of these functions apply to the currently selected Project which is displayed in the bottom left corner of the screen.
To select a different Project the user must select this from the Projects register to make this the current job.
Each of the modules Estimating, Comparisons and Valuations have the ability to create 5 screen layouts for customising the look of the screen to suit certain process or applications. The names of these window layouts can be changed to the users choice by selecting Edit Layout names.
Along with the option on this drop down window to restore default layouts should you wish to revert to the software installation layouts, you can also Store a copy of your Current Layout which also has an option to restore.
Within each window there are similar tool bars that access each of the functions and these are grouped into like item tabs for convenience.
For example,
The items second level toolbar has further tools that are related to Items.
Similarly Item Price has associated tools.
For users who would rather use the right click to access these at the point they are at on the screen then right click in the window.
In this screen deselect the Toolbar option. This removes the permanent on screen toolbars for this window. Access to functions is now by right click. To reinstate the toolbar reselect the Toolbar option.
There are benefits to the toolbar being switched off. Access to the toolbar is at point of click and do not have to revisit the top of the screen. All options are seen in one set of tools and not in separate tabs. More available screen space.
This is obviously of personal choice and users should opt for the method that suits them best.
